Local Income Tax New!

Today's Guardian speculates that the Liberal Democrats are tinkering with the current Council Tax rather than straight forward scrapping in favour of a local income tax:

This evening I went to Zorba's on Stafford Road in Wolverhampton with some friends. As well as going for a meal we went with a view to booking the venue for a gathering later in the year.

Conservative Watford candidate admits to 75 offences

I mentioned strange goings on in Watford the other day, well it appears Ian Oakely, who was the Conservative candidate, has pleaded guilty to five charges of criminal damage and two of harrasment. He also asked for 68 other offences to be taken into account, making a total of 75 offences.

Aiming for 8th

I see the British Olympic Committee is aiming to come 8th in the Beijing Olympics (and 4th in 2012). Nothing like aiming to win is there!

In Nick Clegg's summer message he has announced the Liberal Democrats are going to up the campaign in Labour areas. I am very happy to hear this (not just because I live in a seat currently represented by Labour in Westminster) and expect it to result in a large number of gains at the next General Election.
