Uttoxeter and Alton Towers

The weekend was good. I went over to Uttoxeter and helped with a Liberal Democrat Youth and Student Action Day on the Saturday. I went as part of my follow up work to a training session I gave earlier in the year, hopefully we can see East Staffordshire Liberal Democrats gaining more Councillors and votes over the next few years.

It was well attended with more than a dozen people helping out in various different roles. They resident surveyed most of Uttoxeter during the day with the remainder to be delivered this week - hopefully they will get some good result.

Sunday, those that helped out and stayed overnight went to Alton Towers. It was my first time to Alton Towers and I mostly enjoyed it. I must admit I didn't enjoy the 90 minute wait for one ride which I then did not enjoy - being thrown about at high speeds. I was surprised how well I coped with most of the rides as I do not particularly enjoy heights or being suspended in the air with just a bit of metal to stop me falling - ironically flying is fine with me!
