Capacity Building

The Regional Liberal Democrat Capacity Building Committee met this evening to discuss a number of issues but particularly membership recruitment and retention and developing seats where we are currently a way back in second or in third.

A new membership recruitment league structure was agreed and will be presented to the Regional Conference on 6 November. The Moving Forward Seat proposal will go to this Saturday's Regional Executive to be, hopefully, agreed. The Moving Forward Seats proposal is a proposal I have come up with to help develop seats so that the Liberal Democrats can win them at 2009 or 2013/4 General Elections.
