Colin Ross

Elected as Vice President of Liberal Democrat Youth and Students

8.00.00am GMT Sat 30th Oct 2004

Yesterday evening the Liberal Democrat Youth and Students (LDYS) held their Autumn Conference in Bristol. At their Conference they elected six Honorary Vice Presidents of the organisation, I was one of the six they elected.

I had been approached a couple of months ago to see if I would be interested in becoming a Vice President. I have previously been involved in LDYS including being their sabbatical Communications Officer 1997-1998 and having sat on a number of their committees.

After a break I am happy to have been elected and will do my best to help move the organisation forward. The position is for two years and I hope to have been of use to the organisation in that time.
