Today the West Midlands Regional Conference took place in Solihull, it was well attended and I am told our most registrations ever. As Training Officer, I was responsible for organising the training at Conference and I think it went well, I will look through the feedback forms in the next few days to find out. I also arranged this years Keynote Speaker who was Lembit Opik, MP for Montgomery who again I think went down well.
At Conference I was re-elected Training Officer and also as an English Council Representative, which is also pleasing!
Also today Birmingham Hodge Hill Liberal Democrats re-selected Nicola Davies as their candidate for the General Election and Shrewsbury and Atcham Liberal Democrats selected Richard Burt as their candidate for the General Election. I know both Nicola and Richard well and hope to be of some help to their campaigns over the coming months.
