At the European Parliament earleir this year

Yesterday the count for the ELDR Council Delegation took place in the internal party elections. ELDR is the umbrella party of Liberal Democrats across Europe. I stood and was elected,

I had previous attended two ELDR events but not served as one of the Council Delegation before. I am delighted to have been elected and that so many of my fellow Liberal Democrats voted for me, either as their first of subsequent preferences. I have had previous experience of working in Europe having sat on various bodies for my previous employers including one looking at Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform but my election to the Council Delegation will hopefully widen my European political experience.
