The Indian Ocean Tsunamis

5.00.00pm GMT Fri 31st Dec 2004

Whilst in Ukraine, I was limited as to the information I had been relieving and the scale of the Indian Ocean Tsunamis. My thoughts are with the families of the victims and the survivors as well as those in the front-line of the search, rescue and relief aid missions.

I do not wish to write much on this, as the papers are covering the story extensively and I am a few days behind events, but I do want to saw the international community must be prepared to provide as much in the way of resources that is needed and the amount of aid rapidly increased. The debts that these countries owed should now just be written off and the international community should work towards the future.
