Bank Holiday in Shrewsbury

Today I went over to help Richard Burt, the Liberal Democrat Candidate in Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury, of course, is where Paul Marsden MP is standing down and Richard has been selected to replace him.

Richard has certainly hit the ground flying since his selection and with the election due in a few months he and his team are in a good position to ensure that he will win. Indeed even the Conservative candidate has accepted that it will be a straight fight between him and Richard, with the Labour candidate without a chance.

I expect I will be spending much more time over the next few months helping Richard and his team in Shrewsbury. I first started helping in Shrewsbury in 2001 after Paul Marsden's defection to the Liberal Democrats and made a number of friends there and am glad to be back helping a candidate of Richard's caliber and will hopefully see him elected at the General Election.
