Telephone Canvassing Training

5.26.12pm GMT Thu 27th Jan 2005

Last night I went to Worcestershire and trained nine Liberal Democrats on telephone canvassing/voter identification. The nine were across Worcestershire, including some County Candidates, who want to telephone canvass in the Country and General Elections.

Telephone canvassing done have a number of advantages over doorstoop canvassing, including you can do it anytime, any weather and helps with sparse geographical areas and of course my favourite - no big dog! The trainees had a varied level of experience but with a mixture of talking through the pros and cons, how best to telephone canvass, a few tips and a practical exercises I hope they are more confident to get on the telephone!
