Robin Lawrence, Chair of Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats, congratulating me on my selection

Tonight I was selected as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Liberal Democrats in Wolverhampton South West. Wolverhampton South West is not only the constituency I live in but also went to University in and am looking to buy my first house in.
The seat may not be considered the most winnable seat for the Liberal Democrats, but stranger things have happened. We certainly need less of a swing than was recorded in the four Parliamentary by-elections this Parliament - Brent East, Leicester South, Birmingham Hodge Hill and Hartlepool.
The result last time was as follows:
Robert Marris, Labour, 19,735 votes, 48.3%
David Chambers, Conservative, 16,248 votes, 39.7%
Mike Dixon, Liberal Democrat, 3,425 votes, 8.4%
Wendy Walker, Green Party, 805 votes, 2.0%
Doug Hope, UKIP, 684 votes, 1.7%
Labour majority: 3,487
Turnout: 60.9 %
