Liberal Democrats hold Council Seat in Stoke

Stoke-on-Trent Liberal Democrats are tonight celebrating holding the East Valley by-election. Geoffrey Knight and the Liberal Democrats held off a fierce challenge from both Labour and the BNP to hold the seat.

The Full Results:

Geoffrey Knight - Liberal Democrats - 525 votes - 25.2%

Labour - 496 - 23.8%

BNP - 464 - 22.3%

Independent - 445 - 21.4%

Conservatives - 150 - 7.2%
