Training at Harrogate Conference

Today is the second full day of the Liberal Democrats Spring Conference at Harrogate. My main task today was co-training 'Being an Election Agent' with Dr. Mark Pack. Agenting is a crucial job during the election, it is the Agent that has to take full legal responsibility for the election campaign, there have been many changes to election law since the 2001 General Election and this session was aimed at both new and experienced candidates.

The main elements of the training session were the nomination forms and also the election count itself, two of the most important areas of the Agent's responsibility. The session went well and I will be running the session again at the West Midlands Regional Conference in Birmingham in two weeks.
