Colin Ross demands Blair apology over Iraq5.02.00pm GMT Mon 21st Mar 2005
On the second anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, Wolverhampton South West campaigner Colin Ross has demanded that Tony Blair apologises for his pre-war lies. Colin Ross said: "Tony Blair tricked the British people into going to war. He told us there were WMD. There weren't. He must apologise." The Liberal Democrats led the opposition to the war. They joined thousands of people on anti-war marches across the country. Colin said "People know they can't trust Tony Blair and Labour anymore. Blair lied over Iraq to help his friend Bush. The Conservatives are not much better having wholeheartedly supported the invasion." Describing his opposition to the War in Iraq Colin Ross said "We shouldn't have gone to war in Iraq. Tony Blair took us to war on a lie." The Liberal Democrats led the opposition to the war. Every Liberal Democrat MP voted against the war. They joined thousands of people on anti-war marches. Tony Blair didn't listen and even ignored the United Nations. I am very proud of the Liberal Democrat's stance. Unlike the Labour and Tory MPs who listened to George Bush." He is asking Wolverhampton residents to "join me in sending a message to Tony Blair. By signing his petition and voting for the Liberal Democrats in Wolverhampton at the General Election."
