The Tulip Revolution in Krygyzstan

6.00.00pm GMT Sat 26th Mar 2005

This week has seen a popular revolt in Krygyzstan, bringing the number of former Soviet Republics to have had popular revolts over the last eighteen months to three - begging the questions where is next.

Krygyzstan follows Georgia and Ukraine in either bringing down the Government or at least ensuring in Ukraine's case that the Presidential election be re-run. In all three cases the revolts have been due to allegations of rigged elections.

Maybe when Krygyzstan has new elections I will be lucky enough to observer them as I did with the elections in Ukraine over Christmas.
