Zimbabwe heads to the polls

Today sees Parliamentary elections in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is a country that has a special place in my heart haven't spent a few weeks there a couple of years ago.

Whilst I was there I saw what the policies of Robert Mugabe and the Zanu-PF were doing to what was once a great nation. Since then I have met a number of MDC (Movement for Democratic Change) members and wish them all the luck in the world for today's election.

The election is quite likely to be rigged by Mugabe and the Zanu-PF if previous elections are any guide! I do hope that it will at least be far less violent than the 2002 Presidential elections.
