Labour has now published the Identity Cards Bill. I am throughly opposed to ID Cards. I do not think they will work (there are ID Cards in Madrid) and I am also concerned at what information will be kept on them and who will have access to that data.

New figures also suggest we will be charged £93 each for these ID Cards, I suspect the public will quickly begin to oppose the scheme when they realise the total cost is spiraling.
