This evening I and some other members of Wolverhampton Liberal Democrats attended the Re:Building Wolverhampton presentation at the Lighthouse. The presentation looked at the future development of Wolverhampton City Centre, and was very interesting.

Costas Georghiou, the Chief Planning and Highways Officer for Wolverhampton City Council presented the plans for the Shopping Core Expansion, the completion of the Learning quarter, the development of the canal side and much more. The event also included a screening of the 1969 film Wolverhampton Into The Seventies which showed the building of the Mander and Wulfrun centres, the construction of the ring road and the introduction of high-rise living to Wolverhampton in Blakenhall and Heath Town.
