Last night the West Midlands Conference Committee met to discuss our Autumn Conference in Stratford on 12 November. I was there, primarily, to discuss the training aspect. We have provisionally set the training and I am now organising the trainers.

The two main training sessions will be on combating negative campaigning, complying with the Political Parties, Election and Referendum Act. Other training sessions will include recruiting new members, retaining members (looking at members newsletters amongst other things), an introduction to agenting, building the campaign team. There will also be sessions run by the Liberal Democrat Youth and Students and Women Liberal Democrats/Gender Balance Task Force.
