Birmingham Eid Mela

Today I attended Birmingham's Eid Mela in Cannon Hill Park. The Eid Mela is a massive gathering (Mela means gathering) to celebrate Islamic culture.

The event was really well attended and I bumped into many people that I knew - mainly from campaigning for the Liberal Democrats in Washwood Heath and the surrounding areas. I also knew one of the performers - I didn't know he was performing but Navi and the Kashmiri Folk Band went down a storm!
