Keetch elected Chair of Liberal International

My old friend Paul Keetch, Member of Parliament for Hereford has been elected as the new Chairman of the British Group of Liberal International. Well done Paul!

Commenting on his election, Mr Keetch said "I am delighted to be the new Chair of British Group of Liberal International. The organisation has proved over the years to be stalwart in promoting a better understanding of international liberal issues beyond the confines of the European Union."

Paul further said "I look forward to working with Liberal and Democratic parties and other sister organisations throughout the world. I am keen to assist and help as much as I can with newly-formed liberal groupings in these countries, particularly in their transition towards better governance and respect for human rights. It is a great privilege to be playing a pivotal role in strengthening liberal democracy around the world."
