Jean Charles de Menezes

According to leaked documents the story that we had been originally told about the death of Jean Charles de Menezes is almost completely fictitious. It would appear that he did not run, was not wearing a heavy padded jacked, did not jump the ticket barrier and was held before being shot.

I said after the shooting when various versions of event were being given that we would probably never know the full truth. The leaked report if all true is very worrying and a full independent inquiry should now be set up.
