Killing Chavez

2.55.53pm BST (GMT +0100) Thu 25th Aug 2005

Pat Robertson, the US televangelist and Bush ally, has called for the United States to kill President Chavez of Venezuela. This is an absolute outrage, I am convinced the USA Government has been trying destabilise Chavez for a number of years and fairly convinced that they have already tried to assassinate him. When will the USA Government realise to stop interfering in other countries affairs.

President Chavez was democratically elected by the people of Venezuela and then won the 'recall' referendum. Just because the USA Government do not like his politics and the fact Venezuela is an oil producing country that does not give them any rights to interfere. I would not be surprised if Bush had prior knowledge to Robertson's speech.

The history of the USA shows a worrying tendency to bully and invade countries, and I am not just talking about Iraq. From the whole of Central America and the Caribbean to the South East Asia and the Middle East.
