Wolverhampton Council's hypocrisy on buildings

6.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 26th Aug 2005

Wolverhampton City Council are advertising The Civic Trust's Awards for best new buildings. In my role as Parliamentary Spokesperson for Wolverhampton South West, I have slammed this gimmick saying "The Council is acting hypocritically. Whilst there are some quality new buildings in Wolverhampton, the Council should be more concerned with our less glamorous buildings are which there are far too many!"

There are many buildings in Wolverhampton that need improving, in Wolverhampton South West alone, there are examples in Worcester Street and on Chapel Ash.

Colin is inviting readers to email him on colin@wolverhamptonlibdems.org.uk with their suggestion of the building most in need of repair in Wolverhampton.
