A rubbish service?

Okay it wasn't this bad but it may have been come next week!

Wolverhampton City Council did not collect my wheelie bin this Tuesday. The reason was because Monday was a Bank Holiday and it is voluntary for Wolverhampton City Council employees to work on the Tuesday. However residents accumulating rubbish is not voluntary.

I rung City Direct today and was told I should have received a letter explaining this, which I did not, and one black bin bag, which I did, which would be collected additionally to the bin the following week. After explaining I did not receive a letter and it was unacceptable for environmental health issues I asked to speak to a manager. When a manager (Chris) rung back he agreed to send a truck out as a good will measure so maybe the rubbish service is not so rubbish after all.
