Noreen New and the Liberal Democrats win in Paddox Ward

Noreen New and the Liberal Democrats won yesterday's by-election in Paddox Ward on Rugby Borough Council following the resignation of Liberal Democrat Councillor Glenda Allanach.

Councillor Jerry Roodhouse, Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Rugby Borough Council said "I am delighted Noreen won the by-election, she will be an excellent addition to the Liberal Democrat Group and will she will carry on Glenda's superb work for the residents of Paddox Ward."

The full result was as follows

Noreen New, Liberal Democrat, 471 votes

Conservative, 344 votes

Labour, 159 votes

Turnout was 37%
