Richard II at the Old Vic

Whilst in London I went to see Richard II at the Old Vic with some friends. It was very good with Kevin Spacey as Richard II and Ben Miles as Henry Bolingbroke.

The production is set in very, modern, political terms using videos and TV to provide imagery (reminded me of the Iraq War at points) and footage of modern-day protests and machine-guns as the weaponry and mobile phones to be updated as to the latest news! The cast were dressed in modern suits and combat gear and the Duchess of York turns up to see Richard in her motorcycle helmet.

I would certainly recommend this if you get a chance!
