Winning in Monkmoor

Tony Durnell and Shrewsbury and Atcham Liberal Democrats yesterday won the Monkmoor by-election on a massive 18% swing. I was in Shrewsbury during the day running EARS for Tony and can honestly say the whole team worked really hard and deserved to win. Tony's election is the culmination of hard work and determination from Tony and his team not just in campaign campaign but over the last few couple of years. Well done to everyone that helped.

The full result was as follows:

Tony Durnell, Liberal Democrat - 603 votes - 49.3%

Labour - 482 vote - 39.4%

Conservative - 139 votes - 11.4%

Majority 121

Turnout 30.6%
