Liberal Democrats thwart Conservative burglary4.42.01pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 24th Oct 2005 Not actually as exciting as it seems, but I couldn't resist the headline. I live opposite the Whitmore Reans Conservative Club and at 2.20 this morning I was awoken by the sounds of the glass breaking, looking out my window I saw someone breaking into Conservative Club. Obviously I called the police to stop the burglary and arrest the burglar. They eventually arrived and sent the dogs in first before entering the building, I am not sure if they got the burglar or if they were too late - but as least I tried. I wonder if the Conservative Club will invite me over for a drink later to thank me, I'll not hold my breath!
