Talks to open on EU membership for Bosnia

Bosnia and Herzegovina flag

The European commission agreed this week to open talks with Bosnia. The talks will start out on a cooperation agreement but could ultimately lead to full EU membership. The commission did however warn that it talks could be delayed if Bosnia failed to improve cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
