Is the Government losing it's way?

Now I gave on up on the current Labour Government a long time ago but it seems that they seem to be giving up on themselves! This week we have seen them in a muddle over the Education White Paper, the smoking ban and seen Blair sabre rattling over Iran.

The Education White Paper had to reprinted this week and effectively allows privatised schools, and schools opting out of Local Government control. I expect this will cause lots of internal rows in the Labour Party!

Labour have managed to completely mess up the smoking ban but trying to please everyone but have ended up pleasing no one! They should have either gone for an all-out ban like the Republic of Ireland did or left its to self-regulation, the current proposals will end up in a mismatch or provision and avoidance.

As for Iran, Blair has gone over the top he is starting to act in the same way he did prior to invading Iraq. Whilst what was said about Israel was completely out of order, Blair cannot go around threatening other countries, well at least not until we have finished our occupation of other countries!
