Tories win in Oswestry

Sadly the Conservatives won all three seats that were being contested in yesterday's by-elections in Oswestry. They held a seat on the Borough Council, gained a seat from the Liberal Democrats on the Borough Council and gained a seat from the Liberal Democrats on the Town Council.

The full results were as follows:

Sweeney and Trefonen Ward, Oswestry Borough Council

Conservative - 314 votes

Romer Hoseason, Liberal Democrat - 128 votes

Turnout n/a

Conservative hold

Castle Ward, Oswestry Borough Council

Conservatives - 255 votes

Elaine Channon, Liberal Democrat - 206 votes

Turnout: 23.1%

Conservative gain from Liberal Democrats

Castle Ward, Oswestry Town Council

Conservative - 255 votes

Brian Rowe Liberal Democrat - 143 votes

Labour - 70 votes

Turnout 23.1%
