Ludlow Liberal Democrats advertise for Prospective Parliamentary Candidate2.00.00pm GMT Sat 17th Dec 2005 Although the last General Election only took place in May, preparations and planning are well under way for the next - Ludlow Liberal Democrats are leading the way and have just advertised for their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate. The way it works in the Liberal Democrats is that after a local party has had it's Selection Committee trained (and I trained Ludlow the other week) the Committee and Returning Officer can advertise the seat in Liberal Democrat News inviting applicants. The applicants are then shortlisted and presented to the membership for hustings and a vote. So well done Ludlow in being the first seat to advertise and I hope you get a fantastic candidate.
