The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

10.34.14am GMT Thu 22nd Dec 2005

I saw The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe last night, I must admit I was perhaps over-excited about seeing it. The Chronicles of Narnia have a special place in my heart having loved them as a child, I have recently re-read the books in preparation for seeing the film.

I do not wish to spoil it, although I guess most people know the story! The film was good but not great, it was mainly true to the book, but having got over-excited about it I have expected it to be so much better than what it was. The children were very good, as was Aslan but my favourite had to be Mr. Beaver and not just because Ray Winstone provided his voice but he got some of the best lines.

Go and see it, as it is worth watching. I await the next five installments, though I will be less excited in the lead up to their release.
