Moving Forward in the West Midlands

2005 saw the General Election, after a little rest it is now time to think ahead to the next one! I have confirmed the date for our first West Midlands Moving Forward Day - it will take place in Birmingham on Sunday 5 February. All Local Party Chairs and PPCs (of non-held seats) are being written to with an invite.

Any seat can apply for Moving Forward status and the aim is to work with the constituency with a view to ensure it can be won either the next General Election or the one after. The day will outline the Moving Forward Project and a series of individual seat briefings will take place.

The trainers/campaigners on hand will be myself, Hilary Stephenson (Deputy Director of Campaigns for the Liberal Democrats), Ben Jephcott and Tracey O'Brien.
