Ballot papers arrive and my poll has it neck and neck after 500 votes!1.47.14pm GMT Wed 8th Feb 2006 Well my ballot paper arrived at my home yesterday, I have read the 'manifestos' that came with it and still haven't filled it in! Also my online poll has shot through the 500 vote barrier and it looks neck and neck between Ming and Chris (details on figures below). I had thought that I would fill it in my ballot paper straight away but as the West Midlands Conference and hustings are just ten days away I thought I would wait. This doesn't mean I have changed my mind I am still supporting Ming but want to see what all three candidates say and I have a question that I will be submitting - my vote may well swing on that question! As for my poll, I just checked a few moments ago and it had 514 votes recorded (which I am very pleased with) 219 are for Ming, 213 for Chris and 82 for Simon. Which means Ming has 43%, Chris 41% and Simon is trailing in third on 16%. My poll is completely unscientific and means absolutely nothing, there was nothing preventing non-libdems from voting and I am sure if someone wanted to they could vote more than once. There have been other polls, and rumours of polls, over the last of days which seem to agree it really is between Ming and Chris and Simon's third preferences will be vital to how actually wins.
