Ken Livingstone has today been suspended for four weeks, from 1 March, by the Standard Board. Livingstone had likening a Jewish Evening Standard reporter to a Nazi concentration camp guard.

The comments were made by Livingstone after a party hosted by formed Culture Secretary Chris Smith. The original comments were outrageous comparing a reporter to a concentration camp guard, but were worse still as the reporter was in fact Jewish and pointed this out to Livingstone. It is really not the way for elected officials to behave.
