Milosevic dies

Slobodan Milosevic

I can't say I am upset to read that Slobodan Milosevic, he was an evil man. I am only upset that he evaded justice. He was charged with 66 counts of Genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity and look set to be found guilty of some (or all) of the charges.

Having seen results of some of his actions in Kosovo and having read about other actions death seems to have been a generous verdict on his crimes - though I would have preferred him to not have escaped so lightly with life imprisonment being a far better verdict. With Milosevic gone even more pressure, rightly so, will be placed on Serbia to capture and hand over General Ratko Mladic.
