BNP being talked up by Labour and others

8.25.00pm GMT Sun 16th Apr 2006

When will people learn - stop talking up the BNPs prospects! Talking about them doing well will result in them doing well! Margaret Hodge has managed to give them more oxygen than ever before this weekend saying Labour's voters are switching to them, well they will do now Margaret!

Also in the news this weekend the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust has found that up to 25% of people have thought about voting for the far-right party. I am not sure I believe their findings and await the full report but am suspicious of the timing of all of this are Labour trying to do a double squeeze on the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives by frightening our voters into supporting them to stop the BNP?

Fortunately we only have one BNP candidate in Wolverhampton out of the twenty wards over in the North East - they will receive very few votes and from my experience there is certainly nowhere near 25% of Wolverhampton's electorate that have thought of voting BNP!

Also as a postscript I did some delivery today with Polly Andrews who came up from Hereford to help me and the finger managed to survive!
