After the Local Elections I am off to Pakistan for a week to take part in some dialogue organised by PILDAT between young political leaders in the UK and Pakistan - nice to be described a young and a political leader! I spent most of today trying to get a visa - I went to the Consulate in Birmingham - it was pure chaos but great fun.

I got the visa after having to explain why I was going and what I was going to do. I fly on the Sunday after the election and having seen a draft timetable it looks like there will be lots of travelling I suspect the highlight will be going into Kashmir. I will obviously report back when I return but still plenty of election campaigning before then, so best get on with it!
