Dialogue in Quetta

This morning we left Karachi to go to Quetta in the Baluchistan Region. After arriving we met with the Governor - Owais Ahmad Ghani, he is am amazing man - very interesting and very funny. He gave us a potted history of the region and of Afghanistan which certainly opened my eyes up.

After seeing the Governor we had our second dialogue - this time on 'Extreamism and Terrorism'. We concentrated on identifying the root causes and seeing what practical steps could be taking to tackle these. Education and injustice - be it political or economic injustice (percieved or real) were identified as the biggest causes and we came up with a number of concrete ways to tackle these which will be fed back to our Parties and Governments.
