The approach to Miyajima

It was wet in Miyajima today, and when I say wet I mean soaking. We tried not to let it stop us and left for our mountain hike, two cable car rides later it became very obvious that the view just wasn`t there!

However Amanda and I walked around the temples at the top of the mountain, Sean`s foot is continuing to play him up. We got the cable cars back down and visited the Itsukushima-jinja Shrine and viewed the gate at low tide.

From Miyajima we crossed back to the mainland and headed to Himeji, where we will visit the castle tomorrow.
