Today we looked around Himeji Castle and gardens, both are very impressive. The Castle is one of the last remaining Castles from the Samurai era and our guide was excellent pointing out how it was built to be as easy to defend as possible and different additions made by the different rulers that lived there.

We also looked around the gardens. Whilst in the Gardens we had the opportunity to take part in a traditional 'Tea Ceremony' which in itself was an interesting experience.
