Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji

Amanda went back to work today so Sean and I went out to Hakone, west of Tokyo, we were hoping for a view of Mount Fuji but the cloud cover proved too much. Happily there was much to do in Hakone and we spent many hours there.

After arriving by Shinkansen we switched to Mountain Train up to Chokokunomori where there is an open air museum, sculptures and a foot bath!

Moving on from Chokokunomori we went to Gora park before taking the cable car over the sulphurous area of Owinkudoni and down to the lake where we took a boat across taking in the scenery.
