Beautiful South

Last night I went to see the Beautiful South at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall with my friends Caroline Cheyne, Christine McHugh, Dave Hodgson, Dave Radcliffe and Nicola Davies. The band were great and are currently touring with their new album Superbi - if they are coming to a venue near you make sure you go!

They played a mixture of songs of their new album and some of their greatest hits, unsurprisingly it was the classics that got the crowd going the most. Sadly they didn't play one of my personal favorites - Dream a little dream.

It was a great night out and whilst full the crowd were very good, hardly any pushing and the such like (unlike other gigs I have been to recently) I guess that is what happens when the band is 'adult pop' and the fans certainly reflected that.
