I read that after much speculation the Wolverhampton to Walsall rail service will be axed from December. This doesn't come as a huge surprise to me I was expecting this to happen well over a year ago and CENTRO and the train operators have consistently being undermining the service.

Oddly I was only thinking this morning how busy the service was, in comparison to normal. According to the Department of Transport only 240 journeys a day are made on the line. There were many things that could have been done to increase the number of journeys they could have not axed the Shrewsbury to Wolverhampton leg of the journey and they could have opened and called additional at a Willenhall station.

This of course leaves me with a pressing question of how I will get to work each day, I guess the bus is my only choice but it does increase my commute by more than I would like - time to look for a new job maybe?
