The New Statesman - Episode 2006: The Blair B'Stard Project

8.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sat 17th Jun 2006

Last night I went to the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham with a group of friends to see Rik Mayall as Alan B'Stard in the stage version of the New Statesman. This time B'Stard is a Blairite, of course on the make and B'Stard is more interested in himself than anything or anyone else. The show is very update with references to things that have happened in the last week or so.

B'Stard is embroiled in hiding and selling WMD, encouraging Condoleezza Rice to invade Norway as well as trying to murder his wife. Jokes are made at the expense of everyone but especially Blair, Prescott and Brown. A great night out - it is still on at a few venues - if you get a chance to see if you should.
