Charles Kennedy

Charles Kennedy made a return to television last night on Question Time and he was excellent. This isn't his first foray into politics since stepping down as Leader of the Liberal Democrats, he was involved in the successful by-election in Dunfermline and West Fife and has been at a number of other events recently too.

He is looking much better and made some excellent points last night, hopefully he is getting better - I hope he continues I still believe he has a future in front-line politics if he wants it. He hasn't ruled out a return either judging by his comments last nigh - when asked whether there was any chance that he might one day lead the party again he said "Who knows?", I doubt he will lead the Party again but he certainly has a big role to play.

Also on the panel was Germaine Greer who was her normal excellent self, another back on form. She disappointed me by entering the Big Brother House, and from I read she disappointed herself too. I am glad she is back on top form and very pleased she 'outed' herself as a Liberal Democrat and even asked a pointed question of Charles about the Iraq war (which he swatted away unkindly I think).
