Yesterday Ben Jephcott and I went to help in the Blaenau Gwent by-elections, one for the Westminster Parliament and one for the Welsh Assembly. The by-elections were caused by the sad death of Peter Law the Independent and previous Labour Assembly Member.

I didn't realise until I turned up that I had trained one of the candidates earlier in year - Amy Kitcher, I would to think the training has helped!

Ben and I delivered in two towns - Abertillery and Sirhowy, the scenery is beautiful but Abertillery was very hilly so we obviously had to treat ourselves to ice creams when we had finished our second round there.

I had a quick look through the visitors book, there are not getting enough help (maybe it is going to Bromley, see below), but I was pleased to see names from Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Shropshire there.

At least one car load went down to Bromley from Birmingham yesterday, I went earlier in the campaign. I am told there are getting people through the door and the result could be a lot more interesting than people think.

There are still a few days left until Polling Day (Thursday) in which you can help, either by turning up or doing some phone canvassing (or knock-ups). If you can help please do so - to see how go to www.libdems.org.uk
