X-Men 3 - The Last Stand

10.45.45am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 29th Jun 2006

Last night I went with Caroline to see X-Men 3, it is one of the many films I missed due to the local elections and the trips to Pakistan and Japan. Having enjoyed X-Men and X-Men 2 I was really looking forward to the third and final installment and was not disappointed.

As well as featuring Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman it also stared Vinnie Jones (who was excellent). It picks up where they left off but a 'cure' has now been developed to rid the mutants of the mutant gene. What follows is the traditional good mutant vs bad mutant story line, the story is good not great but the film somehow manages to compensate (and it was good mindless fun after a bad day at work).
