Conservatives gain Alcester from the Liberal Democrats8.31.14am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 25th Aug 2006 The Conservatives won yesterday's by-election in Alcester, Stratford On Avon District Council. The seat was previously Liberal Democrat held but our Councillor resigned to undertake voluntary work in Africa. The full result: Conservative - 798 votes Karyl Rees - Liberal Democrats - 638 votes Labour - 54 votes Turnout 31.82%
